ASA X SRW VERNADOC Drawings Exhibition and Closing Ceremony
Hosted by VERNADOC Malaysia
Saturday, March 17 at 9 AM – 3 PM UTC+08
Communal Home, Pusat Kawalan Kusta Negara
Started from Finland and spreading internationally, VERNADOC (vernacular documentation) word refers to a methodology for vernacular architecture study that emphasizes the collecting of data and information on site by basic techniques to produce high quality measured drawings. It is expected that the results of field measure working will inspire building owners as well as people in the community to realize the values of their property as perceived by outsiders, so that they will co-operate in conserving those buildings.
In line with the recent UNESCO World Heritage Nomination effort, Hospital Sungai Buloh and the Sungai Buloh Settlement Council hosted Malaysia’s First International VERNADOC Camp from 3 – 17 March 2018, documenting the heritage buildings in the Valley of Hope by participants from Portugal, France, Thailand and Malaysia. This event is a collaboration of Association of Siamese Architect and Suriwong Marketing Sdn Bhd.
You are cordially invite to grace our closing ceremony and the exhibition of the final VERNADOC’s drawings.
